Phone is locked
Hi, I am in japan with my family and I was going to get a SIM card but they told me that my phone was locked and I wanted to unlock so I could use my American phone here. Can you help me with that?

Your iPhone appears to be locked to the carrier that you normally use when in the USA. Call your carrier and ask them whether they can perform the unlock procedure for you. Your carrier is the only party that controls the iPhone locking/unlocking requirements and procedures.
