Macbook Air Battery

I've been seeing posts that having the recent Macbook Air plugged in is alright and would not affect my Mac's battery. However I also see posts that having my mac plugged in after it is fully charged is bad for my laptop and would weaken its battery life. I wonder which one is true. I would really want to comply with the Mac proper care.
