Apple Watch ECG app tell me I am in sinus rhythm when it I am in atrial flutter

Why does my Apple Watch ECG app tell me I am in sinus rhythm when it I am in atrial flutter? The ECG equipment in my doctor's office confirms atrial flutter and the Apple Watch consistently tells me I am in sinus rhythm when I am not.

I would be happy to send the pdfs of my ECGs for someone to look at.

Thanks for asking about the new ECG feature.

Check here for availability in your region: ECG

ECG requires the current non-beta version of iOS and watchOS. For additional help with the ECG feature on your Apple Watch, take a look at these articles.

Thanks for the quick response. What I would really like to know is: what are the algorithms that Apple uses to determine if you are in AFib or not? Often when the watch tells me I am in sinus rhythm my heart rate is significantly irregular and the heart rate variability chart shows extreme variability. The cardiologists tell me that Afib is detected by the absence of the P wave on the rhythm strip. There is no P wave on my strips and yet the watch says I am in sinus rhythm. Are the algorithms that Apple uses published anywhere? Is Apple looking for feedback on what their device is or is not doing?

The equipment in your doctors office is likely to be more accurate than an apple watch,the apple watch doesn't promise to diagnose all different heart conditions,it's looking for signs of afib.read here;
