iPassword App Issue

hi all, having issue today with iPassword (Password Manager) app was just crashing instantly had it for years and been fine, have as you could imagine 100s of passwords. Thought i would delete and re-install but now its like a fresh install and prompted me to setup again ?

Ive checked and its backed up to iCloud - how do i get it back ?

Any ideas please ?

If you already make a backup to iCloud in setting, you can reinstall the app and restore the backup from app setting.

thank you...

what i dont understand is on the App Store its listed as Password Manger... but when installed on phone it says iPassword ?

Does that make sense or am i just being thick and confusing... This is the app im talking about...

I had the same issue. I checked to make sure iPassword was being backed up on my iCloud, and it was. So I deleted the app and tried to re-download it. The app is now called something different, "Password Manager" – seems the exact same though as the icon and description is the same. When I downloaded it again, it gave me the option to restore via iCloud. But when I tried this, got this message:


Does anyone know how to transfer a backup of an app from iCould to Dropbox?

thanks for the quick reply, now im even more confused (dosent take much)..... Think its my fault the app im talking about is Password Manager, looks like was an update 3 days ago, probably when it started having issues. I have a backup in iCloud just checked again but cant see any options anywhere as to how you restore it !

Sorry, I don't know and can't help much. The "iPassword" app on the App Store has a different icon than that but the icon in your screenshot does match the one in the App Store for Password Manager.


This is personal opinion and won't help solve your current problem but I wouldn't use either one of them and wouldn't trust them to be secure.

Exactly the same that happened to me. Nope, have no idea if that’s even possible especially bc iTunes doesn’t let you access your apps anymore.


Has anyone tried contacting the developer? When I sent an email it bounced back saying the email address was no good.
