My daughter has a balance from some gift cards. In this game, she wants to buy more widgets. When she goes to the payment screen, her Apple balance and debit card are both shown. The debit card is the only one with an arrow >.
Can she use the Apple ID balance or not? I'm pretty sure it's "not". I've read the support articles and I have not found any other websites that say yes or no. They just tell how to use it.

What is the text of the message/prompt that's resulting in her logging into the account to view the payment details screen of it ?
Okay. We completed the process. We tapped the debit card, which is mine b/c we have family sharing enabled. Her device sent a message to me to verify the purchase. Then it took the payment from her account. Why does it involve me at all? She is over 18 and there are clearly funds in her account.
Here is the screen. Both payment methods shown. Nothing happens when you tap Apple ID.
Nothing will happen if you tap it, how items are paid for is automatic. What happens when she verifies the card (e.g. effectively confirming her id), what is charged ?
Can Apple ID balance be used for in app purchases?
