Closing apps

When closing apps On my iPhone 11 I swipe up and the app fades away but on my partners iPhone 11 Pro it shrinks back into the icon when you swipe up. Hopefully that makes sense! Can I change this in settings?

Settings > Accessibility > Motion, enable/disable ‘Reduce Motion’.
