How to connect Airpods to Zoom on Mac

I want to use my airpods when teaching classes and having meetings using Zoom. They are connected to my computer, but they do not work with Zoom - I can't hear participants and they can't hear me except through my computer's microphone. The airpods work to play music, audio books and for phone conversation. I see this was an issue a while back, but seemed to go unresolved. Has anyone figured out how to fix this??

I waited in queue with Zoom support for 2 hours but they were able to resolve my problem.

It looks like the Zoom folder under "Library"-> "Application Support"-> "Zoom" needs to be deleted then re-download Zoom. The support specialist said the folder was corrupted and just needed to be reset. I followed their instructions and now all my wireless headphones including my AirPod Pro's work on Zoom!
