I don't know if I should update my Macbook because apparently the Catalina Update will paralyse my apps, not support 32-bit, and lag. If this isn't true then please let me know, because my Macbook is starting to run slower.

Catalina will not load 32-bit apps at all.
If your Mac is running slowly, something is wrong that should be fixed whether you decide to upgrade macOS or not. Upgrading macOS will not fix a slow Mac.
For now, please determine if it works just as slowly in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac.
The slow performance is trying to tell you something. If you have not already done so, back up your Mac because the problems you describe may be an indication of hardware failure.
