Update stalled/iPhone Xs won’t turn off or reset

I tried to update my iPhone Xs via iTunes/plugged in to my computer, and it stopped and said it could not update.

The phone screen is stuck on the Apple logo, with about one millimeter of the update stays bar.

I’ve tried turning it off and doing a hard reset, but nothing changes.

I’ve tried plugging it back in, and nothing.

What else can I do to cancel the reset and turn off my phone, so I can do a restore from backup?
