Screentime password

I know that I did not set a screentime password but now I can’t change it and am locked out of screentime. Been locked out for many months now! This is clearly a glitch in Apple’s screentime. I’ve seen hundreds of people complain about it. Apple just avoids the issue and acts like it’s not a glitch. Why don’t they just acknowledge their error and find a viable solution other than having to take the phone to the factory settings?
