facetime login loop problem on MacBook Air running high Sierra

Get asked for ID and psw in loop cannot use Facetime

When go into system preferences>click I cloud icon there are no options like I have seen on help boards, goes right to iCloud ID & psw and are in the loop problem.


Appreciate some guidance. Thank you so much in advance.
