Iphone XR charging

My iphone was at 8-10% last night when i put it on charge. It said it would be at 100 by 8 am. I mistakenly took it off before 8 am and it was at 98%. After taking it off for a couple minutes, i put it back on charge so it could get to 100. Then i saw that the battery kept going down instead of up. I left my phone and came back and it was at 93%. I hard reset it and it went down to 89%. I hard reset it again and it went back up to 92%. Any suggestions or idea as to what is going on? my battery performance is at 92.

Hi rajgill120,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand you're having problems charging your iPhone to 100%. It sounds like Optimized Battery Charging may be enabled.

"Optimized Battery Charging is on by default when you set up your iPhone or after updating to iOS 13 or later. To turn off the feature, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Optimized Battery Charging."
