Is it possible to disable the power on function by opening the Macbook Pro lid?

For owners with MacBook Pro 2018 and above - any luck in disabling the AutoBoot or BootAudio function with the following commands? (it doesn't seem to work for me)

sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00

to turn it back on

sudo nvram AutoBoot=%03

A related option is to turn the boot chime back on

sudo nvram BootAudio=%01

and to turn the boot chime back off

sudo nvram BootAudio=%00

how to disable lid from starting mac air Doing a search here and on the net, I have yet to find a solution. I would like to disable the Mac Air Silicon M2 Monterey from booting by opening the lid. I would also like to disable the any key boot too if possible. I tried entering the code to the Terminal from several sites giving the same advice. That code line did not disable lid opening auto boot. Is there a way to stop the lip from booting a Mac Air 2022?
