Mac OS Catalina (last release update)

After last update I have problem with system sounds, it's speaking like in 80'th when you try clean trash cane :) Even when you get sound over your BT headset )))

Although in audio player (Music) or youtube all good. Also test how to sound file placed here /System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/Contents/SharedSupport/SystemSounds/dock/ in general. But it is perfect, no problem here, only when you try remove and restore from Trash your files :(

Also appear problem with HDMI (Nvidia) and 4K tv :)

Hey there itux,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re experiencing some issues with the audio of your Mac when emptying the trash as well as some video issues when with an external display. I’ll be happy to help.

For help with issues when connecting your Mac to an external display, you’ll want to go through the steps in this link:

As for the issue with sound when emptying your Mac trash, it it just the sound effect that doesn’t sound correct or when you empty the trash is all the audio temporarily affected? If you haven’t already, restart your Mac:

See if it occurs in a new user account as well:

Reset the NVRAM as well:

Regards.

When it comes to this, if you tried everything suggested, you clearly have a hardware issue.

You could try to order an external hard drive and see if you can restore the original operating system on the external hard drive which using command-option-shift-R.

It would appear the latest Catalina is more sensitive to hardware imperfections than previous OSes. Might be using more resources. If downgrading to an older OS does not work, you will definitely either need to replace the RAM or logicboard.

Glad to read answers, sorry but I'm already tried that all, I mean reset NVRAM, PRAM, SMC, etc.., a lot of times :) This problem appears when long time connected by HDMI. It happens because NVidia overheating even if all fans on maximum. This problem did appear after half year using after I bought it (2013 year). That time I solve it by Apple service, they replaced logic board. After that all was good even my work monitors 2k with HDMI connection. Till Coronavirus isolation ))) When I tried to see my old long videos on TV connected by HDMI :)))
