Can't cut in iMovie 09

I imported an MPEG4 movie into iMovie 09 but I cannot cut it. All I want to do is trim off the last 15mins of the movie and save again. I can select but I cannot cut. Please help.

iMac, macOS 10.13

Try the EDIT>TRIM function in QuickTime Player which is on your Mac.

iMovie 09 has been discontinued for quite a while. Further it is not completely functional on the operating system you are running, which might account for the issue you are experiencing. I’m not that familiar with the app, so will defer to others to answer your question.


Meanwhile, you might want to consult the iMovie 09 help menu to see if there is any guidance there.
