Seeing more songs in a list on iTunes Store

My old school husband says he used to see a list of every song that he could scroll through to find things he didn't know he might want. He says it used to be at the bottom of the window and maybe it said Browse. But now that's not an option.

And if he clicks on a genre (Rock), it just breaks it down into smaller categories (New releases; New Rock; etc.) but still doesn't give him anything to "browse." And I don't even find a way to search for Classic Rock, or by artist. He doesn't want iTunes suggestions for what they think he might like. And he doesn't want to just see a specific artist. He wants to see a big list of songs within Rock or Classic Rock. Helping me help him would be greatly appreciated.

When it shows you the first selections, click on the "See All" right above the list.

Marcy, It may not be exactly what he'd prefer but that is how it works. He may also be interested in trying other music download stores that have different (and maybe better) search capabilities: Amazon Digital Music, Google Play Music, Bandcamp, etc.

Yup. I have played around with the new search and have not found any steps that will yield a list of more than 100 songs.

That doesn't really help. When I chose "Rock" it give me 3 lines of choices - New Music - which he's not interested in; The New Rock which he's definitely not interested in; and Pre-Orders - again not helpful.

And when you DO click on See All you really DON'T see all. You just see albums that they are pushing. He wants to see a list of SONGS, and not just albums, and not just new stuff.

I understand that we're not going to find "how it used to be." It just seems like if I do a search for Classic Rock, and click on songs, and click on show all - there should be more than 100 choices in that list. Oh well, he's an old dog and new tricks are the bane of his existence. :=).

😉 Well it's like I told him. "You're the oddball - most people don't WANT to scroll through a list 5 miles long!" Especially in this day and age - attention spans aren't that long. He'll adjust ... eventually. He's got iTunes cards to spend! lol
