my macbook keep showing a file with a question mark in it. so i went to the dusk ulituty and did everything i could and this message popped up when i tried to download sierra. “the installer information on the recovery server is damaged” what should i do?

on startup, hold command+option+r and you’ll see a spinning globe. Connect to the internet and it will download a fresh copy of the latest macOS your macbook can support. Then try reinstalling again.
