Visual Voicemail

Does my iPhone Xr with Total Wireless support visual voicemail? I have tried using visual voicemail, and I can only see a small text bubble in the middle of the screen that says call voicemail. I have seen other people use visual voicemail where the calls are transcripted into text versions, and I want to know if I can use it with my carrier.
