I received the following email on my gmail account.

Operating System: OS X 10.8.4

If the information above looks familiar, you can ignore this message. If you have not recently signed in to a MacBook Pro 13" with your Apple ID and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com) and change your password as soon as possible.Apple Support

But I never made an Apple account with this ID. How do I go about it now? I don’t know who is using my gmail for their mac.

I don't think what you mention is likely under your circumstances. I think you need to contact official Apple support. We, for the most part, are just Apple users like you trying to help other Apple users. See these Apple ID support options:

I think what you are seeing most likely is a well-known gmail scam. See How a Gmail password stealing scam works https://us.norton.com/internetsecurity-emerging-threats-how-a-gmail-password-stealing-scam-works.html

If you gave you Apple ID password to a scammer, then
