How do I download an App to Apple TV

I installed the Apple TV app to my Samsung TV. There is an app for my church that is available for Apple TV where do I go to download this to Apple TV?

I don’t believe there are add-on apps available for the Apple TV add-on app. It’s (solely) for streaming content.

Adding an Apple TV would be the usual path.

I was afraid of that. When I added the AppleTV app to my smart TV. Can't see getting the Apple TV as it was to make it easier for my husband to watch church services on the TV as he can't attend church. Thank you so much!
