I recently bought an iPhone 11. Why am I not sent an email for the one year free offer? How do I activate the free year? Oddly, several months ago I did receive the free offer although I had not bought a qualifying product. Somethings screwy here. I’d like to get my free year.

You can redeem your free year of Apple TV+ simply by opening the TV app on your iPhone. If the offer doesn't immediately present itself, scroll down and tap the Apple TV+ channel. You have three months after first setting up your device to take advantage of your free year of Apple TV+.
I have a current paid subscription that I told the sales person at the Apple store about. Perhaps that’s the problem.
Users that are already subscribed would not see the year offer presented in the app.
She said I should be able to take advantage of the free year.
