Upgrading RAM on a new 21.5" iMac
Hi all. I am looking to buy a new 21.5" iMac from the Apple website. Does this model have the hatch on the back allowing me to upgrade my RAM at a later date like the 27" does? Thanks in advance!

FWIW, in theory it's possible to upgrade the RAM. However, you have to tear apart the computer to do so. You would have to find an AASP willing to do it or take a chance to do it yourself. Not for the faint of heart.
When you buy a 21.5” iMac please buy with as much RAM as possible and the largest SSD you can afford. Do not buy one with 8 go of RAM and a 5400 rpm HD. Just spend the money and get the specifications you need. These machines are NOT intended to be upgraded after the fact.
Nope.
No, only the 27" is user accessible.
Just to add, it would also void your warranty.
EDIT: Meant for Frank, I don't know if it would void your warranty or not.
LOL I doubt it would void mine. :)
I think if an AASP does it the warranty and/or AppleCare remains in effect.
Thanks for the quick replies, all!
Welcome.
