Poor sound when on speaker phone

Hi, whenever i am on a conversation using my iPhone 7 and change to speaker phone the sound becomes intermittent. Any ideas on how i can resolve this or what might be the reason why this happens ?

I have checked everything and all seems ok. When I am on a call I do not have a problem unless I am using the speakerphone/ face timing etc.
