ICloud Drive files

I noticed that on my Mac the iCloud Drive takes over 130 GB. It's way too much.

Can I delete my files on iCloud Storage on my Mac without losing them from iCloud?

I hope yes, otherwise I will for sure downgrade my storage size and search for alternative options.

Short answer is no.

iCloud Drive is not off device storage. It is a syncing service between your Mac and iCloud and is working as designed.
