Excel

I've upgraded my mac os to catalina (10.15.4) against my better judgement and now my excel spreadsheets are reversed and upside down. This is a total nightmare as I use excel for my work. Why do we get these updates without warning they could potentially affect other running programs?? I can't even upgrade to whatever is above this version. How come Apple doesn't even try to rectify the problem?? Surely they're very well aware there's a problem!! Can someone help please???? Thank you.

Microsoft only currently supports Office 2016 for Mac, Office 2019 for Mac, and Office 365 (now changing its name to Microsoft 365) on Catalina. Apple is not responsible for third-party applications, or their data behavior. That is solely Microsoft's responsibility to remedy application issues, and yours to stay current with the Microsoft Excel version updates.

I suggest that you post your question in Microsoft's Excel Help forum for Mac users. Select your pertinent Office package.

Catalina 10.15.4 is the current, and only available version until 10.15.5 is released. If you have a Time Machine backup of Mojave, you can retreat to that operating system via booting into recovery (⌘+R) and choosing Restore from Time Machine Backup. That will wipe the drive and repave it with Mojave, and your data from that backup. Any data that you created on Catalina would need to be saved before proceeding with the retreat.
