Weird code on used MacBook

Hello,

my first post on this community. Just bought a MacBook(2009 model), because back in the days it was my first. Now I collect vintage products. But, unfortunately, there is a code on the back of the product. Does anyone knows where this is for and if I can get it off?

thanks in advance, greetings!

Looks to be like an inventory number for use with an institution, lending library, or school.

And sometimes printing is not simply 'ink'; instead may be chemically bonded to poly case.

Solvent or other harsh removal techniques could likely cloud the polycarbonate materials.

And take-aparts to reuse different pieces not marked, may not be worthwhile.

Doubt those numbers mean much by now. Unless their color is not chemically bound to the

case, the damages in cosmetic appearance would detract from the value in minimal ways.

If the used MacBook has no other functional issues; shouldn't affect values otherwise.

You could try a removal technique on a different poorer quality macbook, to see what it does.

(The white color on some model builds was layer on inside of macbook; outside is transparent.)
