Turning on Allow Notifications at Settings > Notifications > Phone includes voicemail notifications. There isn't a separate option just for voicemail.
On the phone go to Settings > Notifications > Phone and turn on options there.
Thank you for the suggestion but there is no option to allow notifications for voicemail
Yes it has been on since I got the phone but no notifications for new voicemail

Did you ever get voicemail notifications or is this something new?
I’ve had the phone since December 2019. I get notifications for missed phone calls but nothing for voicemail. If I go look to see I will see a red dot on the voicemail but that’s it
