Paste a PDF into another?

Is it possible to place one PDF into another? I have a scan of my signature. I want to place it on the signature line of a document. Both files are PDF. I cannot figure out how to do it. I tried Preview. As far as I can tell, Preview does not have a cut-and-paste or an insert function. I tried Graphic Converter. It was able to place the image of my signature in the general area of the signature line on the target document, but then the application would not allow me to resize the signature image to the appropriate size for the signature line.

Is there a way to do what I want? TIA

Export this as a JPG File:

Then, take a screenshot (capture a portion of the screen), and paste it in the JPG File. Then Save it as a PDF document.

A. Export this as a JPG File:

Open: the PDF File in Preview
Go To: File menu
Select: Export...
Select: JPEG
Click: Save button

B. Paste a Portion of the Screen in the JPEG File:

Go Here: Take a screenshot on your Mac
Scroll to: How to capture a portion of the screen

C. Print the Image as a PDF Document:

Go to: File menu
Click: Export as PDF...
Enter: a name
Click: Save button

The signature tool is useless. The first problem is that it requires a click in the box in the middle of the window. After I click that box, the cursor is in the middle of the window. I cannot squeeze my signature into the right half of the window. I might if I could start my cursor at the left side of the window, but Preview won't let me move the cursor over there without drawing a line from the starting point in the middle of the window to the left. Furthermore I have not found a way to dot the "i"s in my name more the period after the middle initial.

You will need a PDF Editor (which Preview is not) to add an external signature to an existing PDF, or you could add the external signature to the source document, prior to exporting to PDF.

There are PDF Editors in the Mac App Store (PDFPen, PDFPen Pro, PDF Expert), and Master PDF Editor (not in Mac App Store) all of which have trials from the respective vendor's website.

There is a Signature markup tool in the markup tools. Click the pen in the circle icon in the toolbar.

I just took a picture of my signature, selected it from the list, and dragged it to where I wanted it.

Signing on the iPhone is also easy. Trackpad, not so much.

You can use SignEasy its free on the iphone appstore. You can also use the magic wand tool on preview to isolate the signature and then copy and paste it into the document.
