Using airpods as a microphone for recording video?

We would like to use the airpods as a microphone for recording a video on an iphone11. How do we get the phone to use the airpods rather than the internal mic? Thanks!

iPhone 11, iOS 13

The FiLMiC Pro app is a professional video recording app for a number of different platforms, including the iPhone. It has the ability to change the audio input for the recording. You can select the different inbuilt microphones from the iPhone. If you have a set of AirPods there is a setting to use "Bluetooth Microphone". This will utilise the paired AirPod as the microphone input.
