Airpods Pro Firmware Update - Not happening

Hi Everyone,

I have had these Airpod Pro's for 2 days now, and notice they seem a little quiet compared to when I have Apple's wired earpods plugged in. I have heard about updating the firmware to them, which I cannot seem to do. I've read everything from pairing, and un pairing, waiting 15 minutes, you cannot force the update, etc. The last thing I read was to have the pods in the case, and plugged in to the wall charger, have them beside your iPhone...and wait. It's been over two hours now and the firmware is still showing as 2B588 when it should be a different number (can't remember the FW version). Am I missing a step or something? I'm new to these, so I am still trying to figure out how these work. Do I need to have the lid to the charger closed and beside my phone or open for the update to occur? Like I said, it's been over 2 hours with the lid closed, and no update. Any assistance or advice would be great.

Thanks,

Kelly
