Please I’m finding it difficult to enable my Touch ID, how do I fix it?

Has your phone ever been repaired? If your phone was ever in for repair, such as replacing a broken screen, your Home button might have been replaced in the course of that repair. Home buttons and motherboards are married at the factory, so only the original Home button will ever scan fingerprints successfully.
You need dry thumb, tap gently up and down once per second and the grey fingerprint Image will slowly turn red if it is working. Did you get that far?
How far did you get? Did it try to do the Direct print? Then the edge print?
Is this your first attempt or are there prints stored?
There are no prints stored, this is my attempt sir.
Why do you have assistive touch enabled? If your home button isn't working correctly, it stands to reason that Touch ID may not work properly either.

There’s nothing wrong with my home button sir. It works just fine.
