Watch 2 update not updating

I have a series 2 watch which has downloaded the update 6.2

When I press install, it goes through a verifying cycle & then tells me " Installation paused, Apple Watch must be connected to its charger & charged at least 50%."

No matter whether its on its charger or not it wont take the installation further than "verify" & it fails.

I have uninstalled my watch & reinstalled it from a backup & the same thing happens.

Be grateful any advice.

Thanks @fieryjack

I have checked whether my Watch's bluetooth is on & it is. I note that despite that it searches for devices & none are showing up which is weird. My iPhone X has its bluetooth on & its settings say that its connected to my Watch.

Is this usual or a problem? Please let me know

I do get notifications on my Watch.

I'll try your update suggestion this evening.
