I have a problem with my iPhone 11 Pro display. Sometimes when I touch to wake my phone I see the wallpaper become discolored for a couple of seconds before it turns back to its natural color. It happens very often. I restarted my phone multiple times and I even did a factory reset. The problem is still there. I don’t think it’s the software. I think it’s the display. Let me know what you guys think.
I called Apple support and they said that you would have to take it to your local Apple store once everything opens up. Also, I haven’t noticed the discoloration anymore ever since I updated my phone to iOS 13.5! Maybe it was a bug on my iPhone that caused that problem. I no longer have the issue.
Try using a different wallpaper to see if it's screen issue or an issue with whatever you are using for your wallpaper.
You should let Apple see it when Apple Stores open in the future.
Iv tried different wallpapers it happens when my phone is colder or hasn’t been used then I force restart and colors turn back to darker like they are suppose to be and not so light and washed out debating on replacing it but I feel like it will still be a issue and it will be a waste of time
I have some what of the same issue going on with my brand new 11 pro max when I leave the phone sitting for a while especially in cooler weather let’s say 55 degrees the colors look very washed out if I reset my phone
the colors go back to normal it’s almost like the greys that are suppose to be dark grey are light Grey making the colors look washed out if anyone else notices this please post
When I first got my phone, I was using live wallpapers, now I’m currently using my own downloaded wallpapers to see if it can help the problem. In normal operation I sometimes see the the gray in dark mode become bright for a second before it goes back to normal. I assume it’s a wake up thing. I’m using dark mode and I switched back to light mode to see if that would help but the problem is still there. I think my OLED display is damaged. I don’t know how if I have never dropped my phone before. My screen is in the same condition from when it was brand new.
I don’t know why this happens. I think this has something to do with the OLED. There’s probably a malfunction in the internals of the display. Once the Apple stores open back up, I’ll take mine in to see what they can do to fix it.
This is like going to hospital and believe the entire world is sick. Things are magnified on this forum. That doesn't mean some people may have an issue. But given how many millions upon millions of these devices out in the world, this forum is representative of an incredibly small, micro percentage of owners.
I’m having the same issue. It usually happens at night but goes away after I unlock my phone and use it for a bit. It’s been very noticeable with dark mode apps. Is this something Apple can diagnose remotely since stores Are not open?
Any chance you are using Live Wallpaper on your iPhone? When you use the screen in normal operation, are you seeing any issues with it, or is this just a wake up thing?

You might lose that bet. I have two iPhone 11's in my house (one 11, one 11 Pro Max). Neither do this.
Then why are several other people posting the same issue on this thread ?? Who to say the next won’t have the same issue
