I received an email from Apple that said someone tried to sign onto my account in ICloud. It was not me but I am not sure the email is legit.

Emails like this one are sent whenever someone tries to access your account without knowing the password. In this case, the security measures Apple has in place worked and no harm was done - no access was gained.


These emails are usually legitimate, but you can read about how to recognize fake ones.
