Naw, not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...

Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS High Sierra App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.

Or... trash the Install MacsOS High Sierra.app in Applications then a new copy can be downloaded.

If you get a corrupted message...

You can also look back to Eau Rouge's reply at Jun 27, 2020 5:07 AM for a full explanation. You must use Safari to review this thread and then use the Apple Support doc "How to upgrade to ... " link that is in Eau's reply. And as long as you are using Safari when reading the support doc, you will get to the right destination page when you jump to the recommended links from the doc.

I thought I posted this earlier (several weeks ago) but can find no trace.

I am running High Sierra using Parallels and all my 32 Bit Apps are functional!

I hope Apple isn't suppressing this information (gonna loose a badge, I bet)

It feel sketchy going to a couple of these sites, but if you are savvy about this sort of thing, you can manage the risk. Go for it! Worked for me!

This is a very old post now and the answer to your question has been answered numerous times,

you should really read the post, rather than tag on a question that has been answered more than

once.

Open your Applications folder, locate Install macOS High Sierra.app and move it to the Trash.

Empty the Trash.

Connect your mac to your router via cable. Restart your mac go back to the High Sierra download page,

it will now say Get or Download. Do not use the mac while it is downloading, or any other devices

that share the same internet connection.

Thank you. I found the high sierra in my applications and moved it to trash. The app store then said 'download'. Which I did, and in a mere 2 point something hours later (gads, forgotten how much I hate upgrading) it was done.

older machine, mid-2010.

Alas, it still won't work on imgur, sadness. My 2012 mini will, for now. I realize that 10 and 8 year old machines are practically antediluvian but pul-ease, they ain't that ancient, are they?
