Repeated message failure

When sending text to dual mobile OS (iOS and Android) in a group chat I repeatedly get a warning ❗️ icon along with “message failure” alert. When I click “try again” it sometimes needs repeated tries to make the message go through, if at all. It’s been happening with all similar messages over the last 2 days. Ideas? Thanks!
