My touchbar keeps randoming firing commands

My Touch Bar has a segment, normally where the volume controls exist, has started randomly triggering volume up and down.

I cannot seem to get this to stop, other than removing all controls from that area, which just means the "open app" functions now spread into that area, causing browser tabs to just constantly open, or other functions to happen.

Help!
