why Safari Networking is consuming so much of data?

in Activity Monitor there is a tab name "Safari Networking" its consuming so much of data, can you tell me the solution to save my data. except force close option.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.13

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities, and it appears that Safari is using a lot of data in Activity Monitor. I'll do what I can to help.


These suggestions might work for you:

  • Close any tabs that might be streaming information like music or videos.
  • Check to make sure nothing is downloading, even with pinned tabs: Download items from the web using Safari on Mac
  • Make sure no extensions are running that could be updating or using that data: Get extensions to customize Safari on Mac
  • Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart. After it restarts, before opening Safari, open Activity Monitor then check it again.
