iMovie for High Sierra 10.13.6 ????

I'm attempting to download iMovie essentially for the first time. I'm sure my 2017 macbook pro came with it, but I must have deleted it at some point. Everything on the internet points me to the Apple app store, but the iMovie available there says "iMovie can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because macOS version 10.14.6 or later is required."

How do I get up to 10.14.6? I'm basically technologically illiterate. thanks.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.13

You can choose to download a specific Mac OS version by going to this page: https://support.apple.com/downloads/macos

The suggestion above might fix your issue if you're looking to download the latest iMovie version. However, what I did was that I went to the app store and viewed my past purchases (it will prompt you to sign in with your Apple ID and password). The older version of iMovie was listed there. I clicked on Install and it installed an older version that was compatible with High Sierra 10.13.6. Problem fixed.

This solution did not work at all. I lost my current version of iMovie which is not supposed to be compatible with High Sierra when I placed it in the trash. I checked the trash to make sure it was there, but it was gone. Then, when I went to try to download it again, the app store app would not allow me to download it even though it was listed in my purchases. Beware!
