I have had a few contacts disappear from my iPhone. They are not in the group list, nor are they in "All iCloud." If I want to send them a new message text, I am able to get their email address and phone numbers. I am using an iPhone 8. Can someone help me?

Since they are not showing in iCloud, I suggest checking out this article If you accidentally deleted your calendars, bookmarks, or contacts from iCloud to see if you can restore them.

Thank you for your reply. I did not delete (accidentally) any contacts, so I do not know where to go back to. Over the last short period of time, I have had unexpected contacts suddenly disappear, but not at the same time. There is no rhyme or reason as to which disappears. As I discover it, I am adding them back in. Then another disappears. I use my contact list extensively, so it is impossible to go through and see which is gone at any given time. I am so frustrated with the Cloud. I would like to keep it on my iPhone, but disable it on my computer. Then I can phone email the contact to my computer and update it manually. But of course, when I disable it, all contacts are gone on the computer. Is there a way I can do this?
