Whenever I attempt to send an e-mail I get a request box headed 'outlook.com' saying ''unable to verify account name or password'. This has only started in the last couple of days.
Also. I get the same message when I attempt to create a new e-mail account.
My software version is Catalina
What do I need to do to fix this? I am not a computer wizard.

My problem has been resolved.
It turned out that I had mismatched passwords on me Incoming and Outgoing Mail servers.
Further issue was that I had an invalid email address (missing @) in the mail that I was having an issue with.
Don't know how it happened but the Apple consultant tracked it down for me.

Do you have an outlook.com email account? Can you log into the account through the outlook.com webmail page?
i am facing the same problem. whenever my clients visit my site, they complain about sending and receiving emails. help me too find the solution.
