Siri won't let me control my AirPods Pro on a Mac

Been trying for weeks already to resolve this with Apple Support and had no luck at all.

The thing is I can't make Siri to switch Transparency and Noise Cancellation on my AirPods Pro from my Mac.

It works perfectly fine on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, just not on a Mac.

Today's update to 10.15.4 with fixes for FaceTime on older devices didn't resolve it as well.

I do get the issue with a new user.

Been resetting and re-adding AirPods multiple times on all of my devices - won't help.

Resetting SMC and PRAM/NVRAM won't help.

Having the issue it on MacBook Pro 16 if that matters.

While I started to write this post the firmware of my AirPods Pro was identified as 2B588, but after I checked it in a few minutes after updating my iPhone and iPad is changed to 0x464C. Screenshots attached.

The issue stops in safe mode however.

Can anyone please check if you can control your AirPods Pro with Siri on a Mac and if it works for you? It says to me my headphones "don't support that feature":

MacBook Pro 16", macOS 10.15
