Apple Watch Bluetooth pairing to my iPad Pro

Why does my iPad Pro not recognize my Apple Watch via Bluetooth pairing? I want to use it as my HR monitor for fitness apps on my iPad Pro which I’m using on my stationary bike and treadmill.

Clearly you’re thinking is quite narrow. IPads are used all the time to turn fitness equipment into connected equipment. There is an entire ecosystem of Apps and Bluetooth devices to track your workouts. If the Watch is marketed as a fitness device and HR monitor (which it it), why would you not consider it as an accessory for pairing to the iPad? Product managers should look at large markets which this is. It’s a simple Bluetooth configuration feature to allow them to connect. Either Apple’s product experience standards have dropped considerably or they are just no longer focused on users. Either way, it’s absurd I need to go buy a separate blue tooth HR monitor to send my HR to the apps running on my iPad when I’ve already got one (from Apple) on my wrist.

There are no community managers contributing, read, or in anyway reporting back to product development.

The admins depend on users reporting posts that should be moved, edited or just removed.

There is no reporting option for "send this request to engineering".

And as has been mentioned, this is a user-to-user technical support forum. The volunteers have no access to Apple internal workings.

The higher numbers generally mean either they have been volunteering for a very long time, or are retired with a sign that says "Hey you kids, get off my lawn" 😀
