I wanted restore my mac. I formatted my disk. And when I enter the installer, no drive shows up for me to install the OS on.

From Recovery Mode or the installer launch Disk Utility and select the physical drive (should be the top most item which usually shows the make & mode of the physical drive). Then select the "Partition" tab on the right side. Click on the drop down list and select "1 Partition" and make sure "MacOS Extended (Journaled)" is selected. Click on the "Options" or "Advanced" button and make sure "GUID" is selected making sure to click "Ok". Apply the settings. Quit Disk Utility and try reinstalling macOS.
