Watch not accurate

Recording far too many floors climbed, eg 100 floors climbed when I’ve only actually been upstairs twice!?

This might be a problem with the barometric altimeter settings,and they need to be reset by unpairing and re-pairing the watch.

Many thanks I’ve tried unpairing and re-pairing watch as suggested but still same problem. Apologies but I’m not very tech minded, should I have restored to factory settings when re-pairing?

When you re-pair select setup as new when you are asked.
