Recording High number of flights climbed

My watch has suddenly started recording a high number of flights climbed, when I haven't climbed any stairs. It recorded 154 one day, 221 the following and then 256. How do I fix this?

Thank you. My watch is no longer adding phantom flights. It started working properly the day after unpairing and re-pairing.

I tried this, but it didn’t work. I didn’t put my watch back to factory setting though. should I have done that?

Sounds like it might be a problem with the barometric altimeter settings,and they need to be reset by unpairing and re-pairing the watch.

No usually an unpair and re-pair is enough.
