Catilalina (null) ????
With lock-down, I was going to upgrade to Catalina; went to Software update and it says Catalina (null)
What does this mean? It is showing on 3 Catalina compatible Macs.
Current OS is 10.14.6.
iMac 27", OS X 10.11

@pcbjr,
Try here: https://support.apple.com/downloads/macos
All three installations of 10.15.4 were released on April 8. None is 8.23 GB (3, 4.73 and 1.02 GB), altogether they make 8.75 GB. Go figure.
Oooh.. I do have an Application named "Install Catalina". I had no idea it worked that way. Thanks!
Actually, the Software Update probably should invoke the downloaded installer. Please tell us whether it works.
@Barney-15E,
Yes, I acknowledged as much above. I'm having trouble getting my replies to display where they belong in the thread. In my preferences I've specified threaded view.
It downloads the installer, and will start the installer automatically, but you can quit the installer and save for later.
Same here! Finally had time to do it.
Try going to the official OS Catalina website and from there go to the App Store and get it.
John,
Are you running Mojave, or Catalina? I'm running 10.14.6 Mojave and get the first two messages in the Console, but I don't see the third.
I am running Mojave. The third message could be unrelated. I am thinking the first two are related.
same issue here...10.15.4 always was there if and when I decided to upgrade ( and it changed at each upgrade) now null...And I have not done anything still use Mojave. Hope apple fixes it..
I am seeing the same "(null) -- 8.23 GB" display on my software update panel. Clicking on "more info..." does nothing.
Does anybody know how this same update is displayed In System Preferences > Software Update on a Mac that is already running Catalina?
HAVE NOT UPDATED IT>>>> STILL ON MOJAVE...The 10.15.4 Should still be available under software update since I have not updated anything.....ITS MY OPTION to update when I decide TOO!!
I have the exact same issue, currently on 10.14.6.
Hope APPLE is listening???
this was a useful hint to find the install file in Applications.
cheers for that
