Prompted to Install a "null" macOS Update

"null" Update:

What exactly is a "null" macOS update? Something I don't recall ever seeing.

It Reads:

  • Software Updates
  • macOS Catalina
  • (null) – 8.25 GB
  • More info...

Interesting. The 2017 Mac has Mojave on it - This Catalina update is still being shown as "null".

Seeing "null", I'd assume the macOS platform has a broken link on it - a link intended to communicate with Apple's Servers.

Reinstalling the macOS might fix that - So, I'll give that a go and report back on whether or not I still get an error.

Thanks.
