Apple TV 4K and AirPods Pro

The current configuration for my Apple TV is as follows: Apple TV to my sound bar via HDMI and then sound bar to television via HDMI ARC connection. Everything works great. Can I pair a AirPod Pro to my Apple TV 4K, continue sending audio and video to sound bar to television, and at the same time send audio via Bluetooth to AirPods? I want to use the AirPod Pro for a “hard of hearing” individual, but do not want to interfere with everyone else’s audio through the sound bar.

That is not possible in the described way. Connecting bluetooth speakers to the Apple TV would cut off audio for the other sound system.

You would need to connect headphones to a TV or audio system that supports this dual output that you want. It is not common, but they exist.

Okay. But I think Apple is missing a big opportunity here.

You still need the HDMI output to either your Television or Soundbar from Apple TV for video? Why not send audio to both the HDMI cable and to the Bluetooth transmitter?
