New iPad setup

I just got a new iPad and was wondering if setting it up as new was the best way to go, or to restore it from backup. I have no problem installing apps again.

Great. Then setting up as new is the way to go for you. You would simply have to arrange your home screen(s) as you like once you download your apps.

The answer depends completely on your particular situation.

If you have data that you wish to move over from your backup, clearly restring from a backup would be better. Consider the types of data captured in a backup. Do you need that data?

Sherman thanks! I always think that restoring from an old iPad would bring over any bugs etc. I don’t think I really have any data I really need.
